Duane Allyn, President of Flushing Rotary
and retired area pediatrician, came with new member Karen Lorenc this morning and spoke with the relatively sparse group who dribbled in as they maneuvered their way through inclement weather to the weekly Breakfast Meeting. After Karen introduced him, he discussed the Rotary Club’s sponsorship and plans for the upcoming Sleep in Heavenly Peace Build Day on February 3rd at Signs by Crannie. (See “Events” on this site.)
“My City” magazine’s most recent issue has Sleep in Heavenly Peace mentioned on the cover and has a feature article and photos inside. (See photo below.)
Member Mike Butts had a pacemaker implanted and an ablation on Monday to stabilize his heart and improve his health status, and he is reportedly doing well in marking gains and has support of family and church friends.
Until next time, “Promise Yourself…”
